Productivity Stack

The future of work will be won by those who work smarter – not harder.

To be one of those individuals, you’re going to need a productivity stack.

A productivity stack is the set of tools you use to complete tasks throughout the day. Together, these tools create the workflow you follow to get things done. The more streamlined your workflow, the more efficient you’ll be.

These are some of the tools in my productivity stack that I’d recommend using.

Notion

Notion is my go-to tool to organize just about everything. I have my pantry inventory, writing calendar, project plans, and Readwise notes all rolled up into compact dashboards. I use it for project management and knowledge management.

Readwise

Reading is the key to learning and learning is what will help set you apart from the competition. Whether it’s marking up an ebook or highlighting a physical book, Readwise is my go-to app for taking notes. It syncs with Notion, storing all of my notes in one place.

ConvertKit

Depending on your line of work, you may need to build and maintain an email list. I’ve used ConvertKit for years. I love how easy it is to use. With an ecommerce integration, it’s great for generating revenue too.

Canva

I was never good at graphic design. Canva makes it super easy to create logos and build marketing collateral. I use Canva to design all of my workshops.

Clockify

You budget how you’ll spend your money each month, why not approach time the same way? I use Clockify to record tasks I work on throughout the day. It allows me to tag work as billable or not and creates easy-to-read reports I can review to analyze my time utilization. Thanks to Clockify, I’ve reduced my administrative over head and put my idle time during the week to better use.

LastPass

One of the best ways to work smarter is by outsourcing low value work. To do that, you’re going to need to share confidential information like passwords or credit cards with people you work with. LastPass is an all-in-one password sharing tool gives people access to the information they need to get work done.

Wise

If you work with location agnostic team members that need to get paid in their local currency, Wise is your go-to tool for that. It’s affordable and makes sending money overseas a sinch.

Tiller Money

Tiller Money is a spreadsheet-based financial management system that helps you track anything and everything money related. I use it to track my expenses, create a yearly budget, and keep tabs on my personal balance sheet. It also imports information from business accounts, making it a good one-stop-shop for financial data.
